Feb 25, 2010 We're putting up fences!
Greg and I are putting up fencing for a new pasture. We have our own design, which is very strong and safe. We also have a new algorithm to put it up quickly. We both enjoy being out working on the ranch...even though it's still COLD!!
Dec 08, 2009 BBBRRRRRRRRR-It's 11 degrees below!!
Everybody's in!! They do get out for a little while during the day.....It's supposed to be warming up in 2 days....Depending on what weather station you view, there may or may not be a huge storm Thursday night.
Our filly Welmoed was in surgery for a sand impaction. She's doing great. Our mare Icke is being seen by an ophthalmologist
...She had an ulcer on her way over from Holland and it flares up every once in a while. They're going to try to cure it once and for all.
My dog, Archie, LOVES kissing the horses....most of them kiss back...too cute!
We were hoping to get our frost free wateres in before the storm, but didn't make it. The trenching and piping is in...but, with the horses in the barns, not a problem!
Is Christmas really only 3 weeks away!!
Dec 01, 2009 Getting ready for winter
We're expecting a week's worth of storms starting on Sunday. That means seeding, seeding, seeding our pastures. Several babies and some others have left the ranch for their new homes....I'm happy with the adoptive families....We have a new Barn Manager at the ranch...She is an avid photographer too, so I'll be able to post more great pics....I've been pretty inactive for the last 2 months with knee problems. Just had surgery a week ago, so I'll be moving around alot more in a day or to. Have to be in shape for ski season. I'm expecting several feet of snow at the ski resorts....not so much here, which is fine with me...hopefully we'll get lots of rain though! Here are a few of Michelle's pics!
